The museum was pleased to host a special lecture by our own Vice President David Heiby. Titled “The Untold Stories of Lee-Fendall House Residents and Their Resting Places,” it was a captivating journey through the Lee-Fendall House and the historic Wilkes Street Cemetery Complex. David operates Gravestone Stories, which offers informative cemetery tours, a firefighting history tour, and tours of Alexandria’s Old Presbyterian Meeting House.
Lee-Fendall’s next lecture, “Grosvenor Branch Hospital: The Confiscation of the Lee-Fendall House,” will be on Saturday, October 12th. The talk will be given by Madeline Feierstein, Lee-Fendall docent and founding member of the museum’s Civil War Research Team.
