Sails on the Potomac: Alexandria Commemorates America’s 250th
Alexandria will be hosting Sails on the Potomac from June 12 – 14, 2026 as a Sail Virginia℠ 2026 Affiliate Harbor. From the creation of the Fairfax Resolves to being the hometown of George Washington, Alexandria played a unique role in the birth of our new nation and its impact on today. Join us as we commemorate America’s Story with music, family activities, exhibits, tours, public art, educational programs and more!

Blue Star Museums Program
The Lee-Fendall House Museum & Garden is a proud participang of the 2026 Blue Star Museums program, a nationwide initiative in partnership with the National Endowment for the Arts, Blue Star Families, the Department of Defense, and museums across America.
From Memorial Day through Labor Day, the museum offers free admission to active-duty military personnel and up to five familiy/friends, helping to make local history and cultural resources more accessible to those who serve our country.
