Black Walnut Tree Magnet

The black walnut tree located in the Lee-Fendall garden is over 200 years old! It was first planted by Louis Cazenove who purchased this house in 1850. 

When branches are taken off the tree, Lee-Fendall Board member, Carter Refo, takes the wood and creates beautiful items such as coasters and candlestick holders which are also sold in the museum's gift shop.
